Grandpa Byte’s Halloween Glitch Tales

13 Spooky, Silly Stories from Byte Haven

One Halloween night. Thirteen spooky stories. One very grumpy grandpa who just wants everyone to GO TO SLEEP.

It’s Halloween night in Byte Haven, the Wi-Fi is flickering, and absolutely nobody is asleep.

Grandpa Byte just wants twenty-six little bots to go into sleep mode. Lil’ Glitch wants another story. Shadow, a sarcastic hacker currently stuck as a cat, wants something scary. And the rest of the dormitory has absolutely no intention of going to bed.

So Grandpa tells them about a witch who paints crooked squares, a developer determined to optimize an elderly calculator, and a CAPTCHA monster that demands robots prove they’re not robots. There are lonely ghosts, pop-up goblins, a musical mummy, an opera-singing banana, and enough technological disasters to make Grandpa threaten to unplug the entire network.

But between the ridiculous monsters and Grandpa’s increasingly desperate attempts to enforce bedtime, these thirteen adventures celebrate curiosity, friendship, and all the little imperfections that make someone worth knowing.

Funny, gently spooky Halloween stories for readers ages 9–13, perfect for independent reading and family read-alouds.

Every little glitch deserves a place to belong. Even on Halloween.
